Job Summary

The Loading & Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all dispatch, loading, transportation, and delivery activities. The role ensures that products are loaded safely, dispatched on time, and delivered efficiently while optimizing transportation costs and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Loading Operations

• Plan and supervise daily loading activities

• Ensure correct products, quantities, and documentation are loaded before dispatch

• Coordinate loading schedules with production and sales teams

• Monitor loading teams, equipment, and vehicle utilization

• Ensure proper handling of materials to avoid damage during loading and transportation

• Maintain loading records and dispatch reports

Logistics & Transportation

• Plan vehicle requirements and transportation schedules

• Coordinate with transporters, drivers, and fleet operators

• Track deliveries and ensure on-time shipment completion

• Optimize routes to reduce transportation costs and delays

• Handle logistics-related issues, including vehicle breakdowns, delays, and customer delivery concerns

• Monitor freight costs and negotiate transportation rates when required

Inventory & Documentation

• Verify dispatch quantities against sales orders and delivery challans.

• Maintain accurate records of dispatches, freight costs, and delivery status

• Ensure compliance with GST, e-way bill, and transportation regulations

• Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams for stock availability

Team Management

• Supervise loading supervisors, forklift operators, and logistics coordinators

• Conduct training on safety procedures and loading standards

• Monitor workforce productivity and performance

• Ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce loading and unloading safety procedures

• Ensure vehicles comply with weight and transportation regulations

• Investigate and report accidents, damages, or logistics-related incidents

• Maintain compliance with company policies and legal requirements
